At Opal & Boa, we are committed to cultivating a team of passionate, educated stylists and artists who are dedicated to the craft of hair and makeup. Our philosophy is rooted in a love of continuous education, from mastering the newest techniques and trends to honoring the timeless, foundational skills that every stylist should carry with them. We believe that education is what fuels artistry and that a well-supported team can create incredible work.

We are always open to receiving applications for our salon assistant program, as well as for stylists and makeup artists looking to join a team that values creativity, growth, and community.

Salon Assistant Program

Our assistant program is designed for emerging stylists who are just beginning their journey in the industry. Assistants are immersed in the everyday flow of salon life while receiving hands-on education in both cutting and coloring. Weekly in-salon education sessions help develop foundational skills and modern techniques, giving each assistant a chance to gain confidence and start building their own clientele. This is the first step toward becoming a full-time stylist at Opal & Boa.

Stylist

We’re looking for well-rounded, passionate stylists who are excited to work with a variety of hair types and styles. Stylists at Opal & Boa are committed to their craft, eager to continue learning, and interested in being part of the creative and cultural fabric of Old City and the broader Philadelphia community.

We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling and a competitive tiered pay structure that rewards growth and client retention.
